School Accountability

Accreditation
Baymonte is accredited by Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

Accreditation is a voluntary program of school improvement and accountability.  As part of the accreditation process, Baymonte meets standards set by the accrediting agencies and executes a school improvement plan based upon the accreditation visiting team recommendations.

Baymonte has been continuously accredited since 1978.

The school has identified five Expected Schoolwide Leaning Results (ESLRs) as a part of our WASC accreditation process.  The following ESLRs highlight specific areas of accomplishment we strive for as we prepare Baymonte students.

Baymonte Christian School will prepare students to be:

A.  Spiritually Growing Individuals Who:
            1.  Have accepted or been encouraged to accept Jesus Christ as their personal                  Savior.
            2.  Demonstrate God’s love, will, and authority in their lives.
            3.  Develop spiritual growth through active involvement in school activities.
            4.  Respond to God’s love by sharing His truth with others in word and deed.
            5.  Accept the consequences of life choices.

B.  Self-Directed Learners Who:
            1.  Demonstrate organizational and time management skills.
            2.  Adhere to standards of behavior that aid in their development.
            3.  Plan for the future by setting priorities and achievable goals.

C.  Critical Thinkers Who:
            1.  Identify, locate, and organize information or data.
            2.  Demonstrate problem solving skills in real life situations.
            3.  Investigate meaning beyond the obvious.
            4.  Begin to evaluate information from a Christ-centered world view.

D.  Effective Communicators Who:
            1.  Research, document, and express thoughts clearly.
            2.  Read, write, speak, and listen reflectively and critically.
            3.  Work together cooperatively.

E.  Responsible Citizens Who:
            1.  Demonstrate respect for authority, and positive, productive citizenship.
            2.  Contribute their time and talents to improve the quality of life in their sphere of                  influence.
            3.  Model responsible citizenship with integrity, compassion, and Christ-centered                  ethics

Blue Ribbon School Statement
Baymonte Christian School was honored to receive the National Blue Ribbon School award from the Federal Department of Education as part of its No Child Left Behind Program.  Baymonte earned this award based on a combination of achievement criteria, including standardized test scores and curriculum.  The school qualified to receive the prestigious award after joining the Council for American Private Education (CAPE) organization, which nominated the school for the award.
