Dan Rozeboom

Dan Rozeboom

Dan Rozeboom graduated from Westmont College in Santa Barbara in 1996 with a B.A. in History/Social Science. He also studied Bible, Kinesiology, and the ever so difficult and rigorous subject called “the beach”! He holds an A.C.S.I. teaching credential and has taught History, Bible and P.E. at Baymonte since 2000. Before his time at Baymonte, he was a naturalist at Mount Hermon Outdoor Science School, and a staff counselor and Activities Director at Redwood Camp. Dan has also been a director and coach at Kruz Kidz and Baymonte Summer Quest. He loves his family, music, coffee, skateboarding, the Oakland A’s, and Jesus. Teaching middle school students is the perfect vocation for him because, as his wife puts it, “He pretty much is one!”

Jared Fujishin is a Scotts Valley native, born and raised just miles from Baymonte. He’s passionate about his faith, motorcycles, and the life transformation that happens during the middle school years.

In addition to eating lots of sushi, pondering the mysteries of the universe, and making friends at William Jessup University, Jared also graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Intercultural Studies and a minor in Bible & Theology. During his time there, Jared led worship and developed teams at the University and Bayside Church.

And while Jared (that’s me) was told these bios are usually written in third person, it feels a tad unnatural… so if you want more information, you’re going to have to twitter stalk him (@jfujishin) on that new fangled internet machine, or we can get together and share a cup of coffee (and by “share” of course I mean separate cups, because I’m very “germ conscious”).

Alyson Moore hails from the great metropolis of Seattle, Washington, and yes, she is a crazy Seahawks fan. Go Hawks!! She graduated from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri, with a B.A. in Elementary Education.

Four and a half years ago, the Lord brought her family to the Santa Cruz area so her husband could become the pastor of Christian Life Center in Santa Cruz.

Before having her two children, Alyza (10) and Ryson (4), she taught middle school English at a private school in Florida. Recently, she has been working with the Pregnancy Resource Center of Santa Cruz County, where she goes into the local county high schools and teaches healthy relationships.

When she’s not rooting her Seahawks on to victory, Alyson enjoys hanging out with her family, traveling, singing, and doing some retail therapy. She is excited to join the Baymonte team, and is looking forward to the future.

Jeremae Reyes received her BA from Long Beach State University and her teacher education coursework at Biola University. She will be joining our staff as the new middle school Science teacher. She was born and raised in Long Beach and although an only child she has a God given passion for teaching children. She has experience as YMCA youth leader, a substitute teacher in the Long Beach Unified School district, and has taught robotics in Compton Public Schools.

She loves going to Disneyland and drinking coffee but top of her list is her love for God. She loves to sing and was on her home church worship team. Moving to Scotts Valley will be a big change for this Southern California native but she is excited to meet our students and start a new adventure here at Baymonte Christian School.

Amy Bootz earned her BA in Speech Communication and her CA Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Since her college days, Amy has worked in a number or positions that align with her deep passion: teaching kids while helping them grow in their relationship with Jesus.

After hitting the trails as a Naturalist at Mount Hermon, she taught for 6 years at San Jose Christian Middle School. From there, Amy was led to work in a local church, where she directed the children’s ministry for the past 8 years. This year Amy is thrilled to jump back into the classroom to teach Middle School Spanish, Drama and 6th grade Science Lab.

Amy and her college sweetheart, Josh, have two energetic, adventurous boys, Eli and Brenden and a Golden Retriever named Belle. Amy loves long chats over coffee, running in Henry Cowell with Belle and exploring the incredible outdoors in all kinds of crazy ways with her family.

After earning a Master’s of Music from San Diego State Jason and Ling moved to Boston where he completed his teaching credential at the University of Massachusetts, Boston and taught violin and guitar in Boston Public Schools. After the birth of their first daughter, Jocylin “the amazing”, they returned to California where Jason became the band and orchestra director for Redwood City School District. It was at this time that Jason gave his life to Christ through the love and fellowship shown to him by the family of one of his young students. Jason’s family, which now included their second daughter Lydia “the fearless” , began attending Shoreline Community Church where he joined the worship team both singing and playing guitar and cello. Jason says “each season of my life has been met by the grace of Jesus Christ and my failures have been met by His faithfulness”.

Jason has also taught at Portola Valley and most recently in the Hollister Public School District. He is thrilled to be joining the staff at Baymonte where he says getting to share his love of music with students and their families while also serving the Lord is a good, good gift.
