Mrs. Terri Toback is retiring from the kindergarten classroom after 29 years at Baymonte. During these years, she has given hundreds of children a solid foundation not just in their academics, but also in their spirituality. Terri manages her classroom with a gentleness and calm that keeps her students engaged and eager to learn. She incorporates scripture into her lessons wherever she can, and ensures the children know they are loved and cherished by God. Her classroom is always filled with love and laughter. Terri shared these words as she retires, “There are so many things I will miss about teaching at Baymonte. I will miss watching the growth that occurs from September to June. Kids who couldn’t hold a pencil, end the year writing sentences. I will miss the daily hugs and artwork. I love being the one they can’t wait to tell their stories to. I will especially miss the sense of purpose and meaning my job gave to me. I got to teach them about Jesus. We learned some great scriptures together. Maybe they will remember to be “Bucket Fillers.” My job was fun. It fit my personality. It was rewarding. I needed God’s help to do it and He never failed me.” Thank you for sharing your wonderful gifts with us for all of these years, Terri! You have filled more buckets than you will ever know!
