Communication
The preschool staff prides itself in communication with their families. We realize the best early education of preschoolers is achieved when the school and home partner together. Monthly newsletters are sent home to give a brief overview of what each class will be doing the coming month. Daily highlight notes are posted on the sign-in board of each classroom to alert parents of what will be covered that day. Teachers are careful to contact parents daily, either at morning drop off or pick up times.
Assessments
Every preschooler is assessed twice yearly – once in the fall and again in the spring. We use a skills based assessment instrument to evaluate the preschooler’s developmental progress. Observations are recorded during the preschooler’s regular day. Parent teacher conferences are arranged upon request of the parent throughout the school year.
Special Programs
Each year parents enjoy two performances by their children; at Christmas and at the end of the school year. The programs take place in the chapel at the main campus. They are a huge highlight of the preschool experience at Baymonte.
Special Services
Children receive vision screening yearly in the comfort of their classrooms. Speech and language assessment is also part of our program; we understand the value of early detection and referral for future success in school.
Home Visits
Home visits can be a helpful tool for insuring a smooth transition in to a preschool program. Preschool parents know the directors and teachers are always happy to offer a home visit if asked.
