Nikki Tate, originally from England but raised primarily in Scotts Valley, has been a valued member of the Baymonte community since 2016, when her daughter Sydney began in the Twinkler Room at our Granite Creek Preschool.
Nikki holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in business administration, as well as a master’s degree in social work, which she earned in 2005. She spent 12 years working in the field of social work, both in London and locally at the VA Hospital in Palo Alto, before stepping away to become a stay-at-home mom.
In the fall of 2019, Nikki joined the Baymonte staff as an aide in the infant and toddler program at the Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC). In February 2020, (just before the onset of COVID) she made the decision to return to school to pursue her qualifications as a preschool teacher. While supporting her daughter through online first grade and caring for her two preschool-aged sons, Nikki earned an associate’s degree in early childhood education.
In 2022, Nikki transitioned to the Granite Creek campus to serve as the kindergarten aide alongside Mrs. Jones. She quickly discovered a deep passion for working in kindergarten and has cherished every moment in that role.
Now, we are excited to announce that Nikki will be stepping into the role of Aide Supervisor! Her background, dedication, and heart for children make her a wonderful fit for this position.
Outside of work, Nikki enjoys traveling the world, taking trips to Disneyland, and spending time with friends and family. Her three children, Sydney, Sebastian, and Macallan, are also part of the Baymonte community and will be entering 7th, 5th, and 3rd grades next year.
We are thrilled to have Nikki take on this important new role. Congratulations, Nikki!
