Summer Quest Director
I. General Description:
Under the direction of the principal, the Summer Quest Director will oversee all aspects of the Baymonte summer day camp program, including managing and scheduling staff, developing a themed summer camp curriculum, creatively implementing activities that support the theme, and modeling a genuine lifestyle of Christian discipleship that will help nurture the spiritual growth of campers and co-workers. This is a full-time, seasonal position.
II. General Qualifications:
A. Have a relationship with the Lord and basic Biblical understanding
B. Agree to the Baymonte Christian School Statement of Faith as detailed on the staff application
C. Is at least 18 years of age
D. Exhibit excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
E. Display attention to detail and follow-through, is creative, flexible and able to adjust to challenges of the program
F. Is a team player and has the willingness to serve outside of job description when needed
G. Certification in CPR/AED/First Aid is a plus
H. Ability to lift and transport up to 30 lbs.
I. Requires standing, squatting, stooping, lifting and to work both inside and outside in hot/cold, wet/dry conditions
III. Essential Functions:
A. Ensure the safety of campers both emotionally and physically
B. Oversee a safe and welcoming drop-off and pick-up of campers each day following camp guidelines
C. Manage the check-in and check-out of each camper through the Boonli program
D. Represent camp in a positive, Godly manner to parents and campers during drop-off/pick-up times
E. Communicate effectively with parents, co-workers and the school office
F. Develop a camp “theme”, logo, and correlating Bible verse for the summer as a foundation for all other activities to build on
G. Facilitate a variety of small-group and large-group activities, games, crafts and worship appropriate for all ages
H. Responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary facility including the playground, lunch tables, blacktop and extended care room
I. Ensure that facilities and camp equipment are secure at the end of each day
J. Create and communicate staff schedules and adhere to budgetary guidelines
K. Manage staff of counselors and encourage and counsel them in their relationship with God and in their camp role
L. Procure and serve a healthy snack for campers each day
M. Organize weekly field trips and on-campus “fun” days

Substitute Teacher
Job Summary
Baymonte Christian school is seeking qualified elementary and middle school substitute teachers for the 2023/2024 school year. We are seeking candidates who love children, and desire to teach in a high academic environment, while integrating biblical truth in the curriculum.
Requirements/Qualifications
- It is preferred that Substitute Teachers have experience and teacher certification. They are needed in both elementary and middle school classes. Minimum BA/BS degree required.
Pay scale: $125/day, $65/half-day
General Description
The primary goal of Baymonte Christian Preschool is to assist parents in providing for the physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of the children. As a Preschool teacher your goal will be to assist your fellow teachers in reaching that goal by surrounding each child with love, security, consistency, and respect through your personal relationships with the children and through consideration of children’s developmental levels/needs in your classroom preparation. You will also provide a safe, supportive and happy place for each child to explore and grow in the above mentioned areas.

Primary Job Functions
Class
- Plan and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual needs of the children, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling that will include both secular and Christian materials including Bible stories and memory Bible verses.
- Supervise art/science areas and various other classroom centers, interacting and engaging with the children as they take part in various activities.
- Oversee classroom routines like snack time, lunch time, and nap time.
- Plan weekly/monthly lesson plans that follow the approved curriculum calendar and readiness plan. Ensure activities are hands-on and age-appropriate.
- Be familiar with school’s safety rules and emergency procedures.
Children
- Supervise children at all times ensuring their safety, well-being and development.
- Never leave children unattended or unsupervised.
- If safety concerns do emerge, immediately inform the appropriate person and/or the Preschool Site Director.
- Greet each child as they arrive.
- Encourage children in their personal growth and learning through personal and caring relationships with them.
- Discipline children using positive language and appropriate consequences.
- Be a Christian role model.
Parents
- Greet parents as they arrive.
- Ensure parents sign children in when dropping them off, and sign children out when they are picking them up.
Basic Requirements
- Agree with the Baymonte Christian School’s Statement of Faith and Positional Papers.
- Personal faith in Christ as Lord and Savior and active member of a Christian church.
- Pass state required background check through Live Scan Fingerprinting and Child Abuse Index Check.
- Submit all state required forms including physician form and TB test results.
Preferred Experience, Education, Certifications, Abilities
- Meet the California Licensing requirements educationally for a Fully Qualified Teacher.
- Minimum of 12 core semester units in Early Childhood Education, including units in Child Growth and Development, Child-Family and Community, and Curriculum (with a C or better grade).
Physical Requirements
The teacher must be able to regularly perform physical activities such as but not limited to:
- Lift and move 20 lbs. from the floor to a waist-high table when necessary.
- Stand and walk short distances frequently on a daily basis.
- Regularly sit, bend, twist, push and pull.
- Crouch to child’s level, maintain eye contact, sit on floor and stand tall enough to reach children on the highest piece of equipment.
Accreditation Requirements
Must have a willingness to meet annual accreditation requirements of 12 hours professional growth and 4 hours biblical studies with assistance from Baymonte Christian School.

Preschool Employment Application
Pay scale: $18.50-$29.30/hr. depending upon education and experience
Baymonte is looking for qualified applicants for the 2023/24 school year in the following positions:
- Substitute Teachers –It is preferred that Substitute Teachers have experience and teacher certification. They are needed in both elementary and middle school classes.
- Preschool Substitute Teachers – Preschool teacher candidates need to have the required number of college credits for their area of assignment. We have a particular need for teachers and substitutes with infant and toddler qualifications.
- Extended Care – Supervise students on the playground and in the extended care room after school.
- Hot Lunch Server – Order student lunches and serve as the main point of contact for local restaurants. Set up and serve the student lunch line.
