We are pleased to announce that Cindee Bobbitt will be joining the Baymonte elementary team as a second grade teacher this fall! Cindee is excited to be returning to Baymonte where she started her teaching career many years ago. It’s a good thing that she believes teaching second grade is one of the best things to do in life, since she has been teaching that grade for thirty of her thirty-one years of teaching. Developing games and hands-on activities for reading and math in the classroom is her favorite pastime, since games help empower students to direct their own learning.
Cindee is a third generation Santa Cruz County resident. She grew up locally and continues to appreciate the natural beauty of this area. Her love of serving the Lord through teaching began early in life when she started teaching Sunday school in high school. Cindee earned her Bachelor of Arts degree and teaching credential through Simpson College (now Simpson University in Redding, CA) while it was located in San Francisco, where she took advantage of the music and arts of the area. She returned to Santa Cruz County and began her teaching career at Baymonte. After a few years break, during which she married and had three children, she returned to teaching and hasn’t looked back.
Redeemer Anglican Church in Santa Cruz is where she worships and serves these days. When Cindee is not researching new math games and reading strategies, you will find her spending time with her grandchildren or hanging out in her garden.
We are so happy to welcome you back, Cindee!
