History of the Preschool
Baymonte Christian Schools was founded in 1968; five years later the preschool department was added. The preschool was created from a renovated parsonage in the heart of our elementary campus on Granite Creek Road and has three self contained classrooms licensed to serve 3 to 5 year olds. Each of the classrooms offer two, three or five day options; parents may enroll for either half or full day.
In 2001 the preschool had a waiting list of over 100 applicants; almost twice the number of currently enrolled children. A small parent participation preschool less than a mile away was closing and approached our school to consider buying it. After much prayer and consideration we entered a lease to own agreement and in three short months remodeled the building, licensed it, hired new staff and opened with full enrollment in January 2002.
By expanding to two sites we had increased opportunity to do what we felt we were already doing well. Our core philosophy to provide quality Christian early education in a loving and nurturing environment would remain consistent. The challenge would be duplicating the structure of our program in a substantially smaller setting. Preschool Too offers part time programs only. The curriculum used for each age level is the same at both campuses. Children on the younger side of three to five attend Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Children on the older side of three to five attend Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. The Pre-K class meets on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons.
The preschool department was one of the first preschools in the state of California to receive accreditation with ACSI in1991. Preschool Too also received accreditation the year it was founded. Both schools work collaboratively to provide superior Christian early education and work diligently to partner with their families in the process.
