Second Grade

Supplies provided

Third Grade (updated 7/30/14)

A New International Version Bible (NIV). It needs to have Old and New Testaments and a concordance to keep at school. You will need a Bible at home for some assignments as well. It’s important that we all have the same version so that we can easily read along together.

1 Plain white or black 3 ring binder (1 1/2inches width with window pocket on front)

1 folder with pockets

3 glue sticks

1 pack of pencils (Ticonderoga preferred but not necessary)

1 composition notebook

1 fine tip black sharpie

2 red pens

1 box of tissue

1 container of Clorox type disinfecting wipes

1 box of pencils to share

1 box of colored pencils

1 box of oil pastels (Palace Arts usually has a good deal)

Fourth Grade

Required Supplies:

A New International Version (NIV) Bible, preferably one with a concordance. There is a resource in the back of some youth Bibles called a “dictionary concordance” which is more confusing and less thorough.  If you can find one with a regular concordance, that would be best.  This Bible should be one that can be left at school   If you have trouble finding one, go to www.cbd.com and type in “NIV Bible concordance” several options pop up in various colors, etc.

1 1½ inch three ring binder.  The ones that we’ve found work the best are  1½ Avery Heavy-Duty (or Durable) View binders with EZ-turn rings. You don’t have to get that exact binder but the one you buy does need some very specific things.  It needs to have pockets inside the front and back covers.  It also needs to have a place where a paper can be slid into the outside front and back covers.  Please really check to see that all these features are present.  Just bring it in empty on the first day and we will set it up together.

1 set of Colored Pencils

1 set of Thin Markers

1 Highlighter

1 basic Calculator

1 Pencil Sharpener with a lid

1 container of Lysol/Clorox wipes and 1 package of unscented baby wipes

1 five-subject spiral notebook with wide ruled paper

$5 for extra supplies inside your binder

1 backpack (not the rolling kind, they do not fit in cubbies)

2 used, yet clean socks that have lost their mates at your house (for whiteboard erasers)

2 packages of wide ruled binder paper

2 packages (or boxes) of standard #2 Pencils

Several blue pens

1 box of Kleenex

Optional Supplies: These are supplies that some kids enjoy having in their desks.

–  A ruler

–  Scotch Tape

–  A good pair of scissors

–  Extra #2 or mechanical pencils

–  a pencil pouch for “controlling the rolling” – pencil boxes usually don’t fit in the desks
