Saturday’s Tech Trek was a huge success! I hope you enjoyed yourself whether it was your first or fifth event. Our campus was brimming with excitement as we hosted 445 registered runners. It was a privilege to have so much support from our Baymonte community and beyond. I’m pleased to announce our gross income was $59,000! Once expenses are finalized I will be sure to let you know the net profit amount to be spent on Technology for our students.
The success of the event would not be possible without the many parent, staff, student and community volunteers. I would be remiss if I didn’t highlight our dedicated Tech Trek team. Rebecca Finney with the Harvest Festival, coordinating volunteers and my right hand throughout the planning process and event; Jerryne King with race registration, accounting for sponsorship donations and race bag assembly and distribution; Mark Giblin as our Race Director; Michelle McDaniel with the race breakfast; Kristi Trefethen with the pre-race warm-up and raffle set-up; Stephanie Lutz with raffle procurement; Rod Caborn our Race Announcer; and Mr. Patterson for his encouragement and support.
