Mrs. Olson’s class is reading Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O’Dell. In the book, abalone is harvested for food and tools. Stewart Hall, one of our fourth grade parents, dove for abalone up the Hwy 1 coast and barbequed it for the students to try. The students enjoyed it very much and some even asked for seconds.
