Jennifer Kressman is feeling blessed to return to Baymonte this year, after substitute teaching ELA 5th and 6th grades last spring. This year she will teach 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts. A lover of Jesus, teens, and books, you will find her in room 202 discussing literature and writing with heartfelt enthusiasm.
Baymonte is a second home to Jennifer as she has been part of the community for 17 years. She brings with her experience as a lead teacher of preschool children, as well as a substitute teacher throughout the county for over a decade. All three of her children grew up at Baymonte and they are grateful for the impact it had on them academically and spiritually.
Jen worked in high-tech software marketing and sales for many years, and after becoming a parent decided to switch paths. Over the years she has served in many ways with middle schoolers, from youth groups to Bible studies for girls.
With a degree from University of San Diego in English Literature and Writing, she is excited to be stepping into 7/8th ELA. When not on campus, she enjoys giving her time to the Homeless Garden Project, NAMI and to local Fire Safe council efforts to safeguard her longtime home in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Her family is a part of Vintage Faith Church, and on weekends seeks the outdoors on trails, ski runs, and anywhere by the sea. Her favorite things are bookstores, thrifting, knitting, jewelry making, coffee, her dog Finn, and spending time with close friends and family. None of this really captures her as a person, you’ll just have to say hi and get to know her. She is eager to be a resource to all students and families as they navigate the tricky pre-teen and teen years.
We are lucky to have you here, Jennifer! Welcome aboard!
