Shanna Murphy was nominated for Baymonte’s Above and Beyond Award! This award recognizes teachers and staff who consistently go above and beyond their normal job expectations to ensure students are well cared for and receive a high-quality education. Mrs. Murphy made Eden feel so welcome as a new student in her classroom from the day we met her at orientation. She has continued to nurture, educate and instill confidence in her and for that we will be forever grateful. She bends over backwards for her students such as handing out hug and kiss cards, making packets while they’re out sick so they don’t get behind and keeping the parents informed each week with what they’re studying and creating. Thank you for keeping us parents involved and connected as best as you can in this time. We appreciate you risking your health and well being each day for the sake of our children… you’re a true leader and a wonderful teacher!
Mrs. Murphy has made what has been the hardest year of our life, the best it could have possibly been. She is caring, and compassionate with our littles and has helped us through this awful year with grace. As a parent not being able to have anything to do with our son’s class and feeling so far removed from everything, it’s nice to have a loving teacher to help navigate these difficult times.
“Mrs. Murphy has been such a consistent and caring source of comfort/stability with my son that he is enjoying school. This is a bonus year of kindergarten for him and he did not enjoy his first year so I wasn’t sure how he would feel about going again. He wants/likes to go and is thriving. She understands him and he loves her. An example of her going above and beyond is she dropped off his homework one time when he left his folder at school. She also created a cute holiday video that we watched over the break. It was so sweet and my son loved it. My son is happy so I am happy :)”
