This year at Baymonte Christian School we are highlighting alumni – past students who’ve attended Baymonte, many preschool through eighth grade! Today we are highlighting Seamus Ruiz-Earle. Seamus was a joy and pleasure to have on campus during his years at Baymonte. Here’s what he had to say about his time at Baymonte:

I enjoyed so much about my time at Baymonte, so finding a place to begin is almost an impossible task that as I write this in my college dorm room, a picture of my BCS Class of 2013 sits on my desk to my left, filled with people that I still stay in contact with today. The fact that my Christian faith came to maturity with these people, or the fact that even when we went away to different high schools that we stayed in touched, there was something so special about the time I spent at school all those years ago.
I think one of the most influential elements of my Baymonte experience was the time I spent with my classmates at the lunch tables, eating together, sharing fellowship, and forging friendships that I still carry with me to this day. A central tenet Baymonte embraces when educating students is the education of the whole person. At the end of the day, it’s just as important that a student knows how to interact with those around them as it is that they excel in the classroom. The fact that this time still holds such value for me ten years later speaks volumes about how impactful Baymonte was in my formation as a young man.

Baymonte offered me numerous opportunities to excel in my studies and extracurricular activities. From the fantastic coursework in robotics to the innovative architecture classes, I learned so much about the variety of potential careers out there, and ultimately these interests drove me to perform well in my other coursework as well. The foundation I received at Baymonte Christian prepared me well for my high school career at Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose, and continues to serve me well as I finish my collegiate career at Boston College in Chestnut Hill MA.
