Annual Fund

December 19, 2019 by Leslie Rapolla

Dear Baymonte Supporter,

You may or may not know that in our effort to keep our school affordable to the most possible people, our tuition schedule does not come close to covering our operating expenses. We significantly rely on outside support to continue our ministry. We approve a very frugal budget and trust that our record of excellence will inspire our community to continue to support our efforts. We are thankful that one of our current families has asked to send an appeal to you. Please take time to read a very heartfelt letter from Christy and decide how you might help carry on our work.

Gratefully,
Jeff Lane – Baymonte Board of Directors

Dear Baymonte Supporter,

When my son came down with a kidney infection in 2014 while he was in the Granite Creek Baymonte Preschool, he ended up in the hospital for nearly a week. When we got home, exhausted and scared, Lisa Patterson blessed us with a visit to our house. She brought Henry news of his classmates and a bucket of coloring supplies for his recovery. When he had surgery in kindergarten to repair the damage, Rebecca Finney started a meal train for our family as we split time between Lucille Packard and home. Henry was comforted by the knowledge that his teachers and classmates were praying for him. He could count on that because they prayed for each other every day in his class.

I could go on and on with stories about how the love and care of Baymonte staff has brought my family great comfort. It is because of this love and care that the teaching staff can push our children to great academic achievement. It is because of the availability and compassion of teachers and yard duties that our children know the importance of kindness. The combination of academic rigor in the context of Christian values with such dedicated, experienced staff is a rare treasure that I wish every child could benefit from.

This brings me to the point of my letter. As a Baymonte corporate partner, you have already expressed your belief that our community benefits from Baymonte’s presence. As a private school, Baymonte continues to rely on fundraising to deliver a quality education at an affordable price. This is why I have asked permission to write to you to ask for a tax-deductible donation to the school. Baymonte charges less per child than the public schools receive. It’s clear from my experience over these past 6 years that that they are judicious and effective with our tuition dollars. The recruitment and retention of qualified educators is harder than ever due to the cost of living in this area, and your generosity could make a tremendous difference in the lives of our beloved teachers and staff.

I’m truly grateful for the partnership that you’ve already offered our school. If you find yourself moved to invest in the future of this school in our community, then I hope that you will join me in prioritizing Baymonte in your annual giving.

If you are curious about the ways that your financial support could make a difference, I encourage you to make an appointment with Steve Patterson. We are so fortunate to have a school like this in our community with faith-inspired leadership. Let’s join together to ensure the financial future of our school.

With gratitude,

Christy Hutton

(3rd and 5th grade parent)
