In January, Baymonte third graders organized a bake sale that raised over $2,000 to support victims of the Eaton Fire. The students chose to donate the proceeds to St. Mark’s School in Altadena, an Episcopal school that suffered the complete loss of its learning materials, desks, and facilities during the fire, leaving its preschool through sixth-grade students without a place to learn.
Following the disaster, St. Mark’s students were temporarily accommodated first by a local church and later by EF Academy, who generously provided space for them to continue their education. This generous act led to the building of “Saint Mark’s Village,” aptly named to reflect the community effort that made its rapid construction possible.
Baymonte’s contribution played a small yet meaningful role in supporting this project, but more importantly, it fostered new friendships and strengthened the spirit of community among the students.
