Better Together 2011-2012

November 15, 2011 by Leslie Rapolla

Our spiritual theme at Baymonte for this year is “Faith, Hope & Love”. We are very excited to be focusing on how faithful God is to us, the hope that we have because of what Jesus did for us on the cross, and the love that we as a school community can share with others.

The first spiritual theme chapel was on November 2 with the spotlight being on “faith”. Josh Toback from Vintage Faith Church shared God’s word with us, and reminded us about God’s awesome promises and practical ways to build our own faith. We have also been learning about faith in class through activities, songs, discussions and stories.

We will be wrapping up our exploration of faith with a school-wide “faith walk” that will take place on campus sometime in the next month, and will showcase a “footprints of faith” project that all classes will be doing. Our journey into the topic of “hope” will begin in January, and “love” will follow later in the spring.

As mentioned above, we are very excited about Baymonte’s spiritual focus, and it is our prayer that this school year is one filled with faith, hope and love!!!

“Let us hold tightly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.” (Hebrews 10:23-24)

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”                (1 Corinthians 13:13)
