Baymonte’s third grade classes were transformed into a “wax museum” last Friday as students portrayed historical figures based on their written biographical reports. As instructed by Mrs. Hazen and Mrs. Torchio, the third graders put on costumes and makeup to become real-life statues and invited visitors to walk through the “museum,” bringing the characters to life by the tap of their hand. Once “alive,” students spoke a mini biography of the characters they represented. Visitors were treated to a variety of figures that included, Princess Diana, Bethany Hamilton, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Abe Lincoln, Pocahontas, Amelia Earhart, Jacques Cousteau and many more.
