Eighth Grade Mission Trip to San Francisco City Impact

Eighth Grade Mission Trip to San Francisco City Impact

May 30, 2012 by Leslie Rapolla

Baymonte eighth graders headed to San Francisco this morning for their end of the year mission trip to San Francisco City Impact. This organization has a number of outreach areas in San Francisco’s Tenderloin District. They operate a soup kitchen, thrift store, Christian scho0l and preschool. Their newest outreach is their “Adopt a Building” program where their vision is to pilot onsite “churches” in each of the over 500 single room occupancy hotels in the neighborhood. Pastor Francis Chan has an informative video describing this outreach on the City Impact website, https://sfcityimpact.com/#/media.

Our ministry will include assisting in food preparation, helping in the thrift store, tutoring students in their school, and delivering care packages to local residents.
