Today’s message is from fourth grade teacher, Terra Bliss.
“I miss you all so much! I cherish, love, and look forward to our daily Zoom meetings where I get to see your smiling faces and check in with each of you. I am impressed by your eagerness and flexibility during this challenging time. I see your hard work and determination and I am proud of each and every one of you! We are all trying to find our new routine while figuring out how to balance school and life as a whole. I encourage you to take breaks, make memories, and find moments to just breathe. Please remember that God is in control and is working out all things for good. Look for the little things that brighten your day. Keep a journal, write your thoughts down, make a collage, or just find a creative way to document what you are going through and what God is doing in your life. Later in life, you will look back on this time and cherish these positive moments that have presented themselves in unique ways. Beyond the schoolwork, find a new skill to learn and explore, be creative, find ways to just be and enjoy the simple things in life. Do a puzzle, read, play, create, build, bake, sing, dance, worship the Lord, exercise, or whatever else may bring you joy. Romans 15:13 says “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Be the light to your family during these times as you allow the Holy Spirit to fill you and sustain you. I cannot wait to see you guys in person and give you a big hug and a welcome back. Each of you hold a special place in my heart and I am blessed to call you my students this year. For those of you that are in other classes, I have no doubt in my mind that your teachers are feeling the same way. Always know that you are missed, you are loved, and you bring us joy!”
