The time has come to say goodbye to a legend. Joanne Dawid has graced the Baymonte campus with her compassion, love and good humor for 31 years and is now heading into retirement. As head yard-duty, Joanne has known and cared for every child that has attended Baymonte over the last several decades. She says that she has loved every single one of them, even the “little stinkers”. Her favorite memory of Baymonte “repeats itself every year as the children and their families return for the first day of school. By June I need a break, but by July I’m already wondering how all the kids are doing and praying for them.” Joanne is admired for how she knows every child’s name and all the special details about their families. She makes every child feel seen and cared for. What a blessing she has been to our school for so long! We will miss you, Joanne! And hope that you will continue to join us for all the next “first days of school.” You are welcome home any time!
