Marine Education on Monterey Bay

November 13, 2013 by Leslie Rapolla

Our fifth grade classes went on a field trip with O’Neill Sea Odyssey. On the excursion we learned about marine biology, marine ecology, and navigation. We were blessed to see many different types of sea animals, from otters and seals, to jellyfish, whales and dolphins.  Even more outstanding was the pod of Risso’s dolphins that are extremely rare to see. The director of the program was amazed and said that she had never seen them before.
