Today’s encouragement is from preschool teacher and Summer Quest Director, Hope Docter.
“A verse that I am gravitating to is Psalm 55:22, “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” This verse is a perfect reminder that we should not fear what’s going on around us or the unknown of what to come take over our thinking and our lives. We need to pray vigilantly and God will guide us! His love NEVER fails. I encourage students and parents to use this time at home to draw nearer to one another and God. Look at this time as a break from worldly responsibility in its “normal” form and embrace the days to come for reflection and focus on what’s right under your roof. We will not get these days/weeks back. Look at this shelter in place as the most selfless act you can do for our nation right now.
Many students and parents may be struggling right now to learn and balance distance learning. Know that you are not alone and we are all in this together. I’m hopeful as we adjust to the temporary ‘new normal’. I’m embracing the time I have just being with my children as much as I can. I also look forward to all the students I will return to, refreshed and eager to teach and care for again.
Many Thanks & Blessings,
Hope Docter”
