Today’s message is from Baymonte preschool teacher, Nikki Tate.
“When I’m feeling doubtful about life, I often turn to the Serenity prayer which says, ‘God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to accept the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference.’
This uncertain time has turned most all of our worlds a little bit upside down. The common factor here is that we are all navigating and finding new normalcy’s in our day to day lives. But rather than let it consume or take a hold of us, I challenge you to rise up and make that ‘lemonade out of the lemons’. Whilst I am missing my Baymonte family greatly, I am soaking up this extra time I am able to have with my own little family. We have a set schedule for the school week, which helps us, but we’ve also made it flexible. Flexibility is key right now. Most of all we’re trying to make fun memories with the kids. I encourage you and your family to creatively stretch out. Camp in the living room or out in the garden, take up an unusual hobby by yourself or as a family. Play those board games, learn new ones, have late nights, eat the popcorn and ice cream. And, parents, don’t forget to offer yourselves some grace! We are all doing our best, the best we can right now, and that’s all we need to do! Stay safe, stay well, and I look forward to seeing you all again soon!! ️
Hugs & Love, Mrs. Nikki”
