On Wednesday, October 9, Baymonte’s Middle School had its annual Prayer and Praise Day at Mount Hermon’s Redwood Camp. Our 6th, 7th and 8th graders had a blast running around in the woods, playing Capture the Flag, swimming in the sun, eating pizza, climbing in the gigantic treehouse, swinging over creeks and flying through the trees on the zipline. Jesse West, the junior-high pastor at Vintage Faith Church, shared God’s Word and led us in an awesome time of worship. Jesse’s talk centered around the Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13:1-23) and why it is so important to have strong roots in Christ. Overall, it was an exciting and Spirit-filled day of community building in God’s beautiful creation! Said one 6th grader, “It was crazy fun and I liked singing and learning about Jesus at camp. It was a really cool day!”
