Mr. Patterson’s 11/4 COVID Update

November 17, 2020 by Leslie Rapolla

Dear Parents,

As we begin the second quarter of our school year, we are grateful for our ability to meet in-person and for the health of our student body. I am blessed each day to watch happy students, engaged with passionate teachers, eager to learn.

Over the last weekend several school families came into contact with persons who were later confirmed to have the COVID-19 virus. Each of the parents and students who had close personal contact have quarantined themselves and taken COVID tests. At this point we have not heard of any suspected or confirmed transmission from this event.

I appreciate the immediate communication we received from those involved, and their adherence to our COVID-19 protocols. This level of cooperation helps to keep our students safe and prevents an outbreak from occurring on our campus.

Please continue your adherence in following our safety protocols. If your child has had close personal contact (closer than six feet for more than 15 minutes) with someone confirmed to have COVID, your child should quarantine for three days after exposure then take a COVID-19 test. Students may return to school with a negative test and a doctor’s note.

We are fortunate that the rates of transmission in our community have been low, while other parts of our country are experiencing significant increases in transmission. It is important that we remain vigilant as we enter this cooler season where the virus spread may increase.

Please continue to pray for God’s protection over our campus.

In Christ,
Steve Patterson
