First grader, Landon Fernald, spent the day with Mr. Patterson after bringing in the most sponsorship donations for the first Tech Trek turn-in day. Landon was the top earner out of over 400 students. He began soliciting sponsorship donations with a goal of raising $1000. He has since met that goal.
Landon not only looked the part but he acted as a principal as well by passing Payday candy bars out to all the teachers, bringing the office staff flowers and declaring an OREO cookie party in his first grade class. To make his time one that he will never forget, Mr. Patterson took Landon on a personal field trip to Canepa Design in Scotts Valley. The idea came from small model matchbox car that Landon brought with him to show Mr. Patterson. Little did Landon know that Mr. Patterson knew the actual-sized car was in the Canepa showroom. They both had a memorable time!
