Psalm 139 Project

May 29, 2021 by Leslie Rapolla

Baymonte second grade teacher, Taylor O’Rorke, and music director, Elizabeth Barrett, designed and choreographed a worship dance project with a group of fifth graders and played it at this week’s chapel. Inspired by Psalm 139 and King Kaleidoscope’s song titled, “139”, the two teachers met each Monday for weeks, meditating on the scripture and song lyrics before choreographing the dance. Taylor said this about the project, “We loved the intimacy and personal nature of God’s words in Psalm 139 and just felt it would be beautiful to have it filmed/performed in His creation. It was so much fun and a joy to witness Him moving in the girls and in us as we got to take this journey together. I know I for sure learned a ton about how deeply He knows and cares for me through this process and I know my second graders did too through the other part of our chapel video.” You can watch the video here: https://youtu.be/lojpm0xnKxQ
