Ladina Mildenberger joined our classroom for a three week internship from Switzerland. Part of her requirement was to spend one of her placements in an English speaking country. We were blessed by Miss Ladina’s sweet, gentle spirit. She taught math, phonics and handwriting lessons along with a special social studies unit about Switzerland. To celebrate her last day at Baymonte, she taught the class how to bake home-made bread. The students made the dough and Miss Ladina taught them to shape the dough to make hedgehogs. We loved having Miss Ladina in class and will miss her. She will make a fine teacher someday.
