Baymonte’s Third Grade classes were transformed into a “wax museum” last Friday as students portrayed historical figures based on their written biographical reports. As instructed by Mrs. Burke and Mrs. Hazen, the third graders donned costumes and makeup to become real-life statues and invited visitors to walk through the “museum,” bringing the characters to life at the touch of a shoulder. Once “alive,” students spoke a mini biography of the characters they represented. Visitors were treated to a variety of figures that included, Cleopatra, Marcus Aurelius, Elvis, Einstein, Neil Armstrong, Abraham Lincoln, Princess Kate, Nelson Mandela, Pocahontas, Mozart, Missy Franklin, and many more.
