I hope you are still feeling inspired to train for the Baymonte Tech Trek. Remember, your goal is to MOVE! It doesn’t matter how far or how fast, just try. Not only is hydration important but remember to look at your shoes. Running shoes are ideal for training. They should fit properly and be in good shape. Every step that you take is hard on the foot, ankle, knee and hip. It’s important that you are not training in a casual tennis shoe like Converse or Vans. There is almost no support for your feet with those types of shoes. If you find that you are getting shin splints, take a good look at your shoe to see if it’s worn down. If it is, that might be the cause. If you plan on buying new shoes for the race, get them now so you can wear them in for at least a few weeks before the Tech Trek. Good luck and keep training! You got this!
