Over the last few weeks, both of our third grade classes had the opportunity for hands-on exploration of the 25-acre UCSC farm with Life Lab. Our students learned about the six plant parts, tried all kinds of fruits and vegetables grown right there on the farm, made fresh corn tortillas and apple cider, and even got up close and personal with some lively chickens! What a fun day exploring one of our local Santa Cruz treasures!
