Let’s all give a big “welcome back” to Isabella Finney!
After filling in for middle school Bible at the end of last year, Bella is excited and honored to be coming back to teach middle school Bible again this year! Bella attended Baymonte from kindergarten through eighth grade and loved being part of the Baymonte family growing up. She recently attended Point Loma Nazarene University and got her K-8 multiple subject teaching credential and BA in teacher education. She is currently working on her master’s in dual language education from San Diego State University.
One of Bella’s most favorite Baymonte memories is going on the seventh grade Mexico mission trip to Rancho de Sus Niños! Throughout her time living in San Diego, she would volunteer at Rancho and even got the opportunity to teach and live at the orphanage for a month one summer.
Bella was born and raised in Santa Cruz and feels blessed to be living here again. She loves Jesus and has a passion for teaching students that they are created for a purpose. In the past couple of years she has worked and directed Summer Quest, and also worked in the preschool. Some exciting news is that Bella just got engaged and will be getting married later this year. She met her fiancé at Baymonte when they were in elementary school! She finds it so special that a place so impactful to her is also a big part of her love story!
In Bella’s free time she enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, doing yoga, being outside, and going on adventures! She hopes more than anything that this year all her students will come to understand how loved they are, and that they will learn how to dream and have a friendship with Jesus.
