Welcome to Jesalyn Saulietis

January 12, 2024 by Leslie Rapolla

Welcome to Jesalyn Saulietis who will begin teaching 5th and 6th grade Bible next week!

Jesalyn attended the University of California, Irvine, where she pursued not only a Bachelor of Science but also rekindled her relationship with Jesus, finding solace and strength in her faith. During this period of personal and spiritual growth, she met Erik, her future husband, while serving their church community at Saddleback Church. Their life together has been a blend of faith, family, and professional growth. Erik’s career as a video game developer brought them from the sunny landscapes of Southern California to the Santa Cruz mountains. Jesalyn, a cum laude graduate in nursing from UC Irvine, found her calling in various roles, from serving as a registered nurse to homeschooling their two sons. Her journey was marked by significant challenges, including a brave fight against cancer during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her resilience and strength saw her through, and as her energy returned, she dedicated herself to serving 4th and 5th graders in children’s ministry. Her passion for helping and guiding children in their faith journey flourished, leading her to her current role as the Director of Kids and Middle School Ministries at Boulder Creek Community Church, where she gets a weekly opportunity to talk with kids about Jesus.

Jesalyn’s personal story is one of overcoming adversity, embracing faith, and dedicating her life to serving others, both within her family and her community. When not passionately working out what Christianity means to her students, she can be found in her studio or outside creating works of art. Erik and Jesalyn enjoy a lively home shared with their two children, who also attend Baymonte, one dog, three cats, fifteen chickens, and various tropical freshwater fish.

We are so happy to welcome you to the Baymonte staff, Jesalyn!
