Summer Quest 2025

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” Matthew 7:24

What is Summer Quest?

9-Week Program: June 16th – August 13th

This summer, join us for an unforgettable adventure at our STEAM-powered Summer Quest camp. This year’s theme will be “Build Your House on the Rock.” Inspired by the timeless parable about building on a firm foundation, our program is designed to help kids grow in faith, creativity, and curiosity.

Summer Quest is Baymonte Christian School’s summer camp program for elementary age students entering kindergarten through fifth grades. Our camp is a nine-week program, during which you can sign your camper up for one week or all nine weeks, whatever best fits your family’s needs. Part-time and full-time options are offered each week. Camp is open Monday-Friday from 8:00am – 4:30pm with “Fun Days” each week (on Wednesdays).

🧠 STEAM-Powered Fun
Campers will dive into the exciting world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math with hands-on projects that spark imagination and problem-solving. Every day will be packed with discovery!

🎨 Create & Construct
Whether it’s crafting forts out of cardboard, building boats that float, or engineering their own inventions, campers will bring their ideas to life through daily design challenges and artistic expression.

🤖 Robotics & Innovation
Our robotics sessions let kids explore the basics of coding and mechanics in a fun, accessible way—perfect for budding engineers!

🏕️ Faith & Foundations
Each week, we’ll explore what it means to build our lives on a solid foundation—through stories, songs, and engaging faith-based activities that connect our STEAM learning to timeless truths.

🎉 Why Join Us?

A summer filled with laughter, learning, and lasting memories!

Hands-on, project-based learning

A safe, welcoming environment rooted in Christian values

Opportunities for teamwork, leadership, and personal growth

He now brings his expertise and passion to roles with Major League Baseball, the National Football League, and the Santa Cruz Warriors. This summer, Greg is looking forward to inspiring creativity, building exciting projects, and diving into hands-on STEAM activities with your camper!

What to Know About Fun Days

OFF-CAMPUS FUN DAYS ARE OPTIONAL. Your camper is not required to attend off-campus Fun Days, but should you choose not to attend, there will be no staff on campus during those days. The details for the following week’s Fun Days will be posted at the sign-in table the prior week. Please note the times. If your camper is interested in participating, please sign him or her up as soon as possible so we can plan our staffing needs. This summer there will be ONE Fun Day that is for 2nd-5th graders ONLY. On this day there WILL be staff on campus to provide alternative camp programming for Kindergarten and 1st grade campers only.

EXTRA COST: Your camper’s weekly fee will cover most of the week’s activities, but some Fun Days will be an additional cost. The dollar amount will be communicated prior to the start of that week’s camp.

T-SHIRTS: T-shirts MUST be worn for every Fun Day and all off-campus Summer Quest trips.

TRANSPORTATION: Some Fun Days are on the Baymonte campus or within walking distance from Baymonte. Others are still within Scotts Valley and the city bus will provide our transportation. For those field trips that are further than our city’s transportation, we will rent vans, have more mature staff members drive, or ask parents to drop off and pick up at the Fun Day location. If parents are needed to drop off or pick up at the Fun Day location, this will be noted on the sign-up sheet and communicated in advance.

FAQ’S

DO I HAVE TO PACK SNACKS FOR MY CAMPER OR ARE SNACKS PROVIDED?

We provide an afternoon snack for each camper. Please make sure to send them with a morning snack and lunch every day for camp! This includes Fun Days (unless specifically stated otherwise).

DO I REALLY HAVE TO SHOW MY ID EVERY TIME?

Your camper’s safety is our absolute top priority. We have staff working different shifts and with such a high volume of kids, sometimes it’s hard for every staff member to know every parent who comes through at pick-up time. As an added level of security, please be prepared to show ID at pick-up time. If someone else is picking up your camper, please make sure that they are prepared to show his/her ID.

WHAT CAN MY CAMPER BRING (OR NOT BRING) TO CAMP?

Sunscreen: we will reapply sunscreen on your camper every day. However, if you have a special sunscreen they need to use, please send sunscreen with them, labeled with your camper’s name.

Toys and Electronics: please leave toys and electronics at home. We do not want them lost, traded or broken. We also want our campers to participate in activities instead of using their electronics. This includes cell phones or smart watches. If your camper needs to call you, they will use the Summer Quest phone located in the Summer Quest classroom or the Baymonte office phone located in the office.

WHAT SHOULD MY CAMPER WEAR TO SUMMER QUEST?

Your camper should wear clothes that are comfortable and that they can be active in! Please have them wear closed-toed shoes. Layers are best as it can turn from cold in the morning to very warm in the afternoon. Summer Quest t-shirts MUST be worn on field trips and off-campus Summer Quest trips.

WHAT DOES MY CAMPER WEAR ON WATER DAYS?

Campers will need to wear a modest bathing suit. Girls must wear a one-piece and boys are not permitted to wear Speedos. Have your camper wear sunscreen, bring a pool towel and water play shoes (no flip flops).

WHAT ARE THE BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS FOR MY CAMPER?

Camper behavior is important to the overall health of our Summer Quest program. We expect our campers to abide by our elementary handbook policy.
